Practical answers about planning, pricing and working with Forestwood Construction across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

Getting started

What areas does Forestwood Construction serve?

We serve commercial and residential clients across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, including Surrey. Send us your project address or community so we can discuss the work and location.

Yes. Our services include commercial tenant improvements, commercial builds and storefronts, building maintenance and repairs, residential renovations, and accessible bathrooms. We also assess unfinished projects that need a new contractor.

Yes. Forestwood carries licensing, insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage. If your landlord, strata or property manager needs documentation before work begins, let us know during the planning stage.

Yes. Alongside larger renovations and build-outs, we handle repair work such as damaged drywall and ceilings, doors, hardware, flooring, painting, small plumbing and carpentry. Share photographs and a description so we can assess the scope.

Our project gallery includes commercial and residential projects, with before-and-after photographs. It is a useful starting point when discussing the type of finish or transformation you have in mind.

Quotes, budgets and timing

How do I request a quote?

Use our Request a Quote form, call 604-373-0888, or email info@forestwoodconstruction.ca. Tell us where the project is, what work you need and your preferred timing.

Include the project location, type of work, priorities and preferred timing. Photographs, drawings and a description of existing conditions help us understand the space. You do not need every detail finalized before contacting us.

No. Start with the information you have. Depending on the project, the next step may be a site visit, a review of existing drawings or a request for more details. Where drawings, engineering or specialist input are needed, we coordinate those requirements as part of planning.

Pricing is based on the scope and existing conditions. We put the proposed work in writing and identify allowances, exclusions and responsibilities so you can understand what is included. A useful estimate starts with a clear picture of the space and the work required.

Start dates and project duration are confirmed during planning. The scope, site access, approvals, material lead times and trade sequence all affect the schedule. Tell us about any lease, move-in or opening date so it can be considered when establishing the working schedule.

Planning and construction

Do you coordinate permits, inspections and consultants?

Yes. Where the work requires permits, drawings, engineering or specialist input, we coordinate those parts of the project and plan inspections ahead. Requirements and responsibilities are clarified for the specific scope.

Forestwood provides one point of accountability for the scope, trades, decisions and final details. The person who understands and prices the work stays connected to the build, so you have a clear contact as the project progresses.

Our process includes weekly progress updates covering what has been completed, what comes next and where your decisions are needed. We also communicate questions, site discoveries and selection deadlines as work moves forward.

We explain and document changes before the changed work proceeds. Scope, pricing and timing impacts are reviewed so you can make an informed decision. Existing conditions are assessed early, and affected areas may need to be opened to confirm hidden issues.

Before construction begins, we establish floor and surface protection, dust containment, access routes and working expectations. Occupied areas, materials, waste and work zones are managed with attention to safe access and limiting disruption.

We walk through the completed work with you, document a deficiency list and finish outstanding details. Closeout includes cleaning and a clear handover of the completed space. Read more about our construction process.

Commercial spaces and building repairs

What types of commercial spaces do you renovate?

We work on offices, retail and service spaces, dental and medical clinics, childcare facilities, restaurants and other business interiors. Our tenant improvement service coordinates the trades, finishes and inspections needed for the agreed scope.

Yes. We coordinate shell completions, storefront glazing, doors and entrances, framing, drywall and interior finishing. This can include architect and engineer coordination, lead-time planning, public protection and closeout scheduling.

We plan for occupied-space requirements, access routes, working hours and protection before work begins. Whether an area can remain in use depends on the work involved. Tell us about your operating requirements so disruption and access can be addressed in the plan.

Yes. Our maintenance and repair services support commercial buildings, strata and rental properties, occupied homes and facilities. We assess the problem, define the repair and coordinate the appropriate trades.

Yes. Forestwood assesses projects that have stalled or been left unfinished. We review what is complete, identify what remains and establish a practical scope for moving forward. Contact us with photographs and the project details so we can discuss the next step.

Home renovations and accessible bathrooms

What home renovation work do you offer?

We renovate kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, fireplaces, basement and secondary suites, stairs, flooring and millwork. We also carry out decks, exterior stairs, entrances and whole-home improvements. See our residential renovation services.

That depends on the scope, the areas affected and whether safe access and essential facilities can be maintained. We discuss occupied-space requirements and protection during planning. Let us know who will be living in the home and any access or daily-use needs.

Yes. We assess mobility, bathing, transfer and caregiver needs alongside the existing bathroom. Options include walk-in or curbless showers, seating, grab-bar backing and installation, handheld controls, wider doorway options, slip-resistant flooring and accessible vanity clearances. The layout is planned around the person using the room. See our accessible and senior bathroom service.

Yes. We assess visible damage and possible underlying causes before defining the repair. Where needed, affected finishes are opened to investigate, the appropriate trades are coordinated, and repaired areas are finished to match as practically as site conditions allow.
