Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2, 2026
About these terms
These Terms of Use describe the conditions for using forestwoodconstruction.ca, operated under the name Forestwood Construction (“Forestwood”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Please read them before using the website or submitting information. If you do not agree with these terms, please stop using the website. You may contact us directly with questions.
These terms concern use of the website. They do not replace a project-specific construction agreement or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Website information
The website provides general information about our services, process and past work. We aim to keep it accurate, but content may contain errors or become out of date. Confirm information that is important to your project directly with us.
Website information is not a site assessment, construction specification, engineering opinion, code determination or professional advice for your property. Project requirements depend on existing conditions, design, approvals and the agreed scope.
Enquiries, estimates and project agreements
Sending a form, requesting a quote or exchanging an initial message does not, by itself, create a construction contract, reserve a start date or authorize work. Scope, pricing, payment terms, scheduling, changes, warranties and other project conditions are addressed in a separate project agreement.
Any general pricing, schedule or service description on the website is subject to confirmation for the specific project. If these website terms conflict with an executed project agreement about the construction services, the project agreement governs those services, subject to applicable law.
Past projects and photographs
Project photographs and before-and-after comparisons illustrate work and outcomes in particular spaces. They do not guarantee an identical result, cost or completion time for another project. Materials, finishes and colours may appear differently across screens or under different lighting. Confirm selections and expectations through the project planning process.
Appropriate use of the website
You may use the website for lawful purposes, including learning about Forestwood and making genuine project enquiries. You must not:
- Submit misleading information or impersonate another person.
- Upload malware or content that is unlawful, threatening or infringes another person’s rights.
- Attempt unauthorized access to website systems or other people’s information.
- Disrupt website operation, security or availability.
- Copy or republish protected content for commercial use without permission or another lawful basis.
We may restrict access or remove submissions where reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect security or comply with law.
Information and files you submit
Provide accurate contact details and only files that you are entitled to share. You retain your rights in materials you submit. You permit us to use and share them only as reasonably needed to review your enquiry, respond and coordinate requested services, subject to our Privacy Policy and any separate agreement.
Submitting an enquiry does not grant us unrestricted rights to publish your photographs, drawings or other content for marketing. Avoid sending passwords, payment card details or unrelated sensitive information through website forms.
Website content and ownership
Website text, branding, logos, photographs, graphics and other protected materials belong to Forestwood or their respective owners or licensors. You may view the website and save or print reasonable extracts for personal project planning, with ownership notices intact. Other uses require permission unless allowed by law. No ownership of our trademarks or other protected content is transferred to you.
Third-party links
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience or further information. We do not control their content, availability or practices. A link does not, by itself, represent an endorsement or a guarantee. Your use of a third-party website is subject to its own terms.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information received through the website and related enquiries is handled. These terms do not substitute for consent where privacy law requires it.
Availability and limitations
We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. Maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside our control may affect access. Please contact us directly if a form or website feature does not work.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Forestwood excludes liability for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from use of, or inability to use, this website. This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, liability that cannot legally be limited, or obligations under a separate project agreement. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer or privacy protections.
Governing law and resolving concerns
These website terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to address it. This does not prevent you from contacting a regulator or pursuing any legal remedy available to you. These terms do not require arbitration or waive a right to participate in a class proceeding.
Changes and interpretation
We may revise these terms and update the date on this page. Changes apply prospectively and do not amend an existing project agreement without the agreement required for that change. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
